Physical Health Tracker – 2025 in review

Strength Sessions

In 2025 I managed 98 strength workouts over the year. Which averages out to just under 2 sessions each week which is pretty good consistency.

June and July were my worst months for consistency with only 7 sessions recorded over these 2 months.

I did have some elbow pain over the course of the year which particularly affected my ability to perform pulling exercises, namely bodyweight rows, chin ups and pull ups. As a replacement I did a lot of squats, with a routine I kept returning to involving 100 squats with 40kg weight in a single set!

In 2026 I will try and balance out the chest vs back ratio, as the number of reps in pushing exercises being around double pulling exercises in 2025 which will ultimately lead to imbalances.

Cardio and mobility sessions

Now these cardio and mobility sessions definitely surprised me in terms of overall volume. 127 cardio and mobility sessions performed!

Cycling was my most popular with around 1 bike ride on average each week. Purchasing a spin bike later in the year definitely helped me rack up a few more sessions.

Yoga is something I have some trouble maintaining and I often will do it in bursts of a few sessions a week and then nothing for a while, but one session of yoga every other week is on the “improvement” list.
